‘Interstellar Awakening’ – The Story Behind the Music
Against all the odds, I’ve been back in the recording studio.
In the weeks leading up to the first anniversary of my husband’s death, I was finding things difficult. The landmark day loomed constantly and I found myself very emotional. A few days before it however, everything changed.
At 1 o’ clock in the morning, I was brushing my teeth before a very late bedtime. As ever, my thoughts turned to Jim. Suddenly, out of the blue I heard: ‘Go into the Studio on the day and record some new music’. It was like I’d been struck by lightening! My energy instantly shifted from sadness to excitement and I thought, “Wow! What a fantastic idea!”
More information then began to pour in fast and furious. Suddenly, I knew it wasn’t just a piece to honour my husband that I needed to record. In the weeks prior, I had experienced a reawakening of a profound shamanic journey I’ve been on since 2012. Aspects of this too, were calling for expression.
My mind and heart were racing! Not even the logistics of Recording Studio availability or finding musicians 4 days before Christmas, not to mention the funds needed to cover this venture, could dampen the feeling of excitement! When Spirit calls the impossible can happen! So, on December 21st, with the Solstice portal wide open, I went into the studio and brought through four new Sounds of Sirius Transmissions.
